Gable Steveson responds to reward from Jon Jones, discusses potential MMA profession
Talking in a current interview with Ariel Helwani, Gable Steveson mentioned his future. There, the younger wrestler admitted that working carefully with Jon Jones lit a fireplace beneath him. Whereas he’s uncertain that MMA is in his instant future, Steveson sees a path ahead in fight sports activities.
“After being in that camp with Jon Jones, that positively put a serious spark in me to go on the market and do MMA.” Gable Steveson acknowledged to Ariel Helwani. “Unsure the promotion but. However Jon positively lit a fireplace beneath me. He was like ‘Hey, I believe you need to return to wrestling, I believe you need to attempt MMA, we now have an important workforce out right here in Albuquerque if you wish to be a part of us’. It was simply fascinating how I obtained into one thing so fast.”
He continued, “Once I placed on the gloves, all the things felt like homebase. With the wrestling, with the boxing, with the jiu-jitsu, I really feel like I’d be superb actually fast… I [probably] don’t have an MMA battle [in the next three years], however I do have a path that may lead me to someplace nice. We’re discussing it, and I believe it’ll be a very nice path for me to go on the market and showcase who I’m… It’s going to take time.”
