West Indies pacer Alzarri Joseph misplaced his cool throughout the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2024 match between the Saint Lucia Kings and the Guyana Amazon Warriors. Alzarri Joseph threw the ball in direction of the stumps though the middle-order batter, Shimron Hetmyer, was contained in the crease.
The Warriors received the toss and selected to bowl first on the Daren Sammy Nationwide Cricket Stadium in Gros Islet, St. Lucia, on Saturday, September 7. Tim Robinson (33) and Rahmanullah Gurbaz (47) shaped a robust 62-run opening partnership. Gurbaz then added 29 runs with Shai Hope (11). Shimron Hetmyer and Keemo Paul completed the chase in 10 overs. Noor Ahmad took three wickets for the Saint Lucia Kings, and Alzarri Joseph picked up one.
Extraordinarily Disappointing – Faf du Plessis
After the match, Saint Lucia Kings captain Faf du Plessis expressed his disappointment and added that the situations have been difficult. He mentioned that 100 runs was inadequate and troublesome to defend. Du Plessis admitted that they should reevaluate workforce methods.
“Extraordinarily disappointing. It was a bit cheesy. Wanted to evaluate the situations and play accordingly. The rating was nicely below par. It was at all times powerful to defend 100.
He additional mentioned: “It’s about assessing the situations for me. The wicket was slightly bit below the covers. There was some nip within the first few overs.
