New stories present updates on the contracts of AEW stars Malakai Black and Buddy Matthews.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (through Fightful Choose) stories that, internally, AEW claimed that Matthews’ deal would have needed to be prolonged “fairly some time again”. It was not clear whether or not this was a brand new contract or possibility years being picked up. Per Sapp, there had been inner discuss that AEW had choices years on his deal.
