Sean O’Malley and Merab Dvalishvili didn’t get the prospect to get too shut following the UFC 306 pre-fight press convention as a result of each champion and challenger had a lot to say.
Following a full of life query and reply session on stage, O’Malley eliminated his jacket — the identical one which Dvalishvili took from him again at UFC 288 — and he marched in the direction of his opponent with UFC CEO Dana White ensuring no person obtained too shut.
O’Malley instantly started shouting at Dvalishvili and it appeared he was promising to ship a knockout, which is identical prediction he gave throughout the press convention.
“I believe I’m going to get it completed the way in which I all the time get it completed,” O’Malley stated about the way in which he plans to complete Dvalishvili. “I’m going to place this dude face first.”
Later within the press convention when O’Malley stated that he wanted a knockout to maneuver nearer to an eventual crossover into boxing with a possible combat towards Gervonta “Tank” Davis, it was Dvalishvili who answered again.
“Preserve dreaming,” Dvalisvhili shouted. “No one knocked me out but. Preserve dreaming Sean O’Malley. You don’t knock out Chito Vera [in your last fight].”
That earned him a snide response from O’Malley with a reminder about how he received the bantamweight title from Dvalishvili’s good friend and teammate Aljamain Sterling.
“I did knock out Aljo although, didn’t I?” O’Malley stated. “That was fortunate as f*ck. I hold getting fortunate. It’s loopy. Each combat I get fortunate.. One way or the other, a way, I get fortunate.”
